Aim of the course
Designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence the aim of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace.
This qualification provides full coverage of the competences specified by the SIA, and therefore meets their requirements for a licence-linked qualification. It is divided into 4-units and is assessed through 3 multiple choice examinations, 1 written test and a practical test.
The units are as follows:
Unit 1. Working in the Private Security Industry
Unit 2. Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private security Industry
Unit 3. Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry
Unit 4. Physical intervention Skills within the Private security industry
Who’s it for
This qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a door supervisor
Due to the nature of the work and training, only those aged 18 years or over can undertake the qualification and apply for an SIA licence to work as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security industry.
This course will be delivered Monday 27th November – Thursday 30th November 09:30am – 4:30pm (You must be able to attend for the full course)

The course is delivered at Finchale Group in Durham and is easily accessible by car or bus. There is ample parking on site at no additional cost. Transport and accommodation can be provided but it’s not linked in any way to this course.
Refreshments will be provided however, please bring your own packed lunch.
